Who Is Raising was started in 2017 by: Charlie O'Donnell (VC investor in NYC) and Sam Batista (VC investor in LatAm) who were both born and bred in NYC and share a mission of helping the city's startups flourish. The mission was simple, they wanted to get high potential promising startups from this city in front of the right investors. NYC is full of innovators and investors across all industries. Charlie and Samantha understood that most of the time it can be tough to find and get in front of funds that care about what you, specifically, are building.

Over the last 6 years we have featured over 450 startups and have facilitated 500+ connections between founders and investors, some of which have resulted in investments. Last year we decided to broaden our scope and are now open to feature startups across the US & LatAm.

We aim to connect startups, to the right investors, based on their industry and stage. Our team also provides consulting services to select clients (based on our bandwidth). Consulting services that we’ve provided in the past include: pitch deck creation, business plan creation, growth strategy planning (Gantt), curated investor connections, fundraising strategies and other ad hoc projects. Our team members work full-time, but take on select projects that make sense - these services are tailored towards early stage companies - and therefore are more financially accessible than the market.
